Trena Whisnant runs Kindermusik to emphasize the importance of music in early education
EAGLE RIVER, AK, April 7, 2010 /Music and Recording PR News/ --Trena Whisnant, Teacher for Kindermusik with Trena Whisnant, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in early education.
Driven by her love for music and children, Trena Whisnant opened her own early education music school three years ago. Specializing in instruction, she teaches voice lessons and basic musical instruments including the chimes, recorders, pre-keyboarding and drums. Emphasizing the importance of music in child development, she works with children from birth to seven years and meets with their parents to discuss student progress.
Apart from her professional life, Trena demonstrates a commitment to children, raising her own three kids as well as two adopted children with special needs. Having previously served as assistant teacher for special needs students through summer school programs, she attributes her success to being able to learn from such experiences. Looking forward, she will look to set up her own studio and classrooms.
Ms. Whisnant holds a license from Kindermusik International, Inc. She is also a member of Chugiak Eagle River Women in Business Network, Chugiak-Eagle River Chamber of Commerce and National Association of Professional Women.
